Biography

Heriberto (Eddie) Garcia, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, AGACNP-C, is a dual board-certified family (FNP) and adult and geriatric acute care nurse (AGACNP) practitioner providing services as part of the Lung Transplant Team in UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Department of Internal Medicine, Solid Organ Transplant Program. He has worked in transplant medicine since 2013.

He earned his undergraduate degree in nursing at Lehman College and his Master of Science in Nursing at Pace University, before earning his Family Nurse Practitioner degree.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Mr. Garcia was a licensed clinical social worker for 10 years.
