Biography

Ilana Fischer, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in general otolaryngology, treating the full spectrum of ear, nose, throat, and head and neck conditions.

Dr. Fischer earned her medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School. She also completed her residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the University of Michigan.

She joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

Dr. Fischer is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery.

She has a particular interest in cutaneous malignancies of the head and neck. She has delivered presentations and published academic articles related to her areas of expertise.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Fischer enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
