Biography

Jude Khatib, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a medical oncologist specializing in genitourinary (GU) cancers, with particular expertise in prostate and bladder cancer. Her foremost commitment is to patient-centered cancer care. She partners closely with patients and their families to help them navigate complex diagnoses and make informed, individualized decisions about evidence-based treatment options, including access to the latest clinical advances and clinical trials.

Dr. Khatib earned her medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where she served as Chief Medical Resident. She then completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at UT Southwestern, where she also served as Chief Fellow.

She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology. Dr. Khatib joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025.

Her clinical interests include incorporating genomic testing and precision oncology into the care of patients with GU cancers, with the goal of tailoring treatments to the molecular features of each patient’s disease. She is also committed to expanding access to high-quality cancer care for underserved and rural populations.

Dr. Khatib is deeply committed to medical education and mentorship. She has a strong interest in trainee development and has received multiple teaching and leadership recognitions throughout her training and career.

She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Hematology. She has delivered regional and national presentations and authored peer-reviewed publications related to genitourinary cancers, cancer genomics, and oncology education.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Khatib enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
