Biography
Julide Sisman, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in neonatal-perinatal medicine.
Dr. Sisman earned her medical degree at the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine at Istanbul University in Turkey. She completed residencies in pediatrics at Istanbul University and at Albany Medical Center in New York, where she served as Chief Resident.
She gained advanced training through fellowships in neonatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She also earned a master’s degree in clinical sciences at UT Southwestern.
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine, Dr. Sisman joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2009.
Dr. Sisman is a Fellow of the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She works on multiple UT Southwestern committees and serves as a staff educator for Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) use in the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). She is Director of UT Southwestern’s fourth-year medical student NICU elective at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
She serves on the editorial board for Clinical Imaging and Interventional Radiology and as a reviewer for the American Journal of Perinatology. She is also an author of several peered-reviewed articles and has given local and international lectures and presentations in her areas of expertise.
