Biography
Kandace Williams, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC, is a board-certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She began her nurse practitioner (NP) career in 2021 with the Department of Critical Care as an Advanced Practice Provider Critical Care Fellow at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Darton State College in Albany, Georgia in 2015. Continued her education to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida in 2016. Finally, she completed her studies at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas by earning her terminal Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in AGACNP studies in 2021. She has worked in critical care as a registered nurse since 2015. She holds an Adult Critical Care Registered Nurse Certification (CCRN) from American Association of Critical Care Nursing (AACN). She is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), the American Nurses Association (ANA), and the AACN. She was awarded the UT Southwestern Spirit of Caring award in April 2021.
