Biography
Katherine Liang, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in primary care and preventive care.
Dr. Liang earned her medical degree at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She completed a residency in family medicine at the Cleveland Clinic and received advanced training through a clinical informatics fellowship at MetroHealth in Cleveland, Ohio.
Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025.
Dr. Liang has a focus on informatics and serves as Deputy Chief Medical Informatics Officer for Primary Care at UT Southwestern.
She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Informatics Association. Her scholarly work has been published in leading medical journals, including Gut, and she has contributed to the book Asian American Parenting: Family Process and Intervention.
Personal Note
When she’s not at work, Dr. Liang enjoys traveling, going on food tours, staying active, playing in community sports leagues, and cheering on local professional sports teams.
