Biography
Kathryn Kraft, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in liver transplants and kidney transplants.
Dr. Kraft earned her medical degree at the University of Kentucky School of Medicine. She completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Kentucky and gained advanced training through an abdominal transplant surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Certified by the American Board of Surgery, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.
Dr. Kraft is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, and the Association of Women Surgeons.
She has delivered presentations and published peer-reviewed academic articles related to her areas of expertise.
In 2020, Dr. Kraft received the Golden Apple Teaching Award.
