Biography

Keri Draganic, DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC, is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) in Cardiovascular Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center's Clements University Hospital. With the collaboration of the cardiothoracic Surgeons at UT Southwestern, she provides pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing mechanical and bioprothestic valve replacements, coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic dissections, laser lead extractions, adult congenital heart abnormalities, and septal myectomies. She completed her undergraduate nursing degree at Kent State University in 2009, her master's in nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2013, and her doctorate in nursing at Saint Louis University in 2016. She is a licensed advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in the State of Texas with prescriptive authority and board certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She also holds an Adult Critical Care Registered Nurse Certification from American Association of Critical Care Nursing (AACN). She is a member of North Texas Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She was awarded the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse of the Year in 2017 at UT Southwestern, as well as the Nursing Leadership Award in 2016 from Saint Louis University. She currently serves in the role of Co-Chair of the Nursing Research and Evidence Based Practice Council and will assume the Chair position in 2018.
