Biography

Laura A. Kirk, MSPAS, PA-C, serves as the Assistant Director of Advanced Practice Providers, Ambulatory services. Ms. Kirk completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before completing a master's of science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. She is recognized by the American Academy of PAs as a Distinguished Fellow. Ms. Kirk has achieved the designation of Faculty from the Academy of Communication in Healthcare (ACH) and is trained as a facilitator and instructor for relationship-centered communication by the ACH. During her career, she has served in clinical roles in orthopaedic surgery, interventional radiology, and otolaryngology. She has also taken on roles in multi-site clinical operations, interprofessional education, advanced practice provider (APP) mentorship, credentialing, and onboarding, as well as 1:1 communication coaching for both physicians and APPs. Ms. Kirk currently serves as co-director for the annual CME meeting for the Society of PAs in Otolaryngology (SPAO) and a director at large for SPAO. Ms. Kirk is a member of several professional organizations, including the Academy of Communication in Healthcare, the American Academy of PAs, the Society of PAs in Otolaryngology, and the Texas Academy of PAs.
