Biography

Laura A. Kirk, M.S.P.A.S., PA-C, CPXP, serves as the Assistant Director of Advanced Practice Providers in Ambulatory Services. Ms. Kirk completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before earning a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. She is recognized by the American Academy of PAs as a distinguished fellow.

Ms. Kirk has earned the designations of Faculty and Fellow from the Academy of Communication in Healthcare (ACH) and is trained as a facilitator and instructor for relationship-centered communication by the ACH. Throughout her career, she has held clinical roles in orthopedic surgery, interventional radiology, and otolaryngology. She has also taken on roles in interprofessional education, professional coaching, advanced practice provider (APP) mentorship and well-being, as well as one-on-one communication coaching for both physicians and APPs.

Ms. Kirk currently serves as vice president of education for the Academy of Communication in Healthcare on a volunteer basis. She also maintains a clinical practice in otology.
