Biography

Mahmoud Elsayed, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in hospital medicine.

Dr. Elsayed earned his medical degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed a residency in internal medicine at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

Dr. Elsayed’s clinical interests include medical informatics, medical education, and point-of-care ultrasounds. He has delivered several presentations and published peer-reviewed articles related to his areas of expertise.

Personal Note

Dr. Elsayed’s interests outside of medicine include gardening, fishing, and swimming.
