Biography

Maryam Ali, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in general pediatrics, with an interest in newborn medicine.

Dr. Ali earned her medical degree at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021.

A newborn hospitalist, Dr. Ali’s clinical interests include quality improvement projects and teaching clinical skills to medical students, residents, and midlevel professionals.

She’s a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor Mentor.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Ali enjoys traveling, sampling international cuisines, exploring national parks, practicing yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
