Biography

Melanie Turner, M.S., is a speech-language pathologist in the Department of Otolaryngology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of voice disorders, speech, and swallowing and in voice treatment for head and neck cancer patients and laryngectomees.

Ms. Turner earned her master’s degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She completed a clinical fellowship at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System. She also holds bachelor’s degrees in speech communication disorders and Spanish from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, she joined UT Southwestern in 2022.
