Biography
Micah Van Yperen, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant in the Department of Acute Care Emergency Surgery. A native of the DFW area, Mr. Van Yperen earned his medical training from the University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC) at Fort Worth in 2024. Prior to joining the emergency surgery team, he completed his first two years of practice in the Houston Medical Center, combining a strong foundation in general surgery with specialized knowledge in colorectal surgery. His clinical experience includes the advanced management of complex gastrointestinal pathologies, such as colon and rectal cancer care protocols, acute and chronic diverticulitis, and complex fistulas. Additionally, Mr. Van Yperen brings hands-on surgical co-assisting experience utilizing industry-standard technologies, including Intuitive DaVinci robotic systems.
