Biography

Michelle Sandoval Cabanas, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in pediatrics, internal medicine, and transition medicine.

Dr. Sandoval Cabanas earned her medical degree at the University of New Mexico. She completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Internal Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

Dr. Sandoval Cabanas is a member of national professional associations, including the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Medical Women’s Association.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Sandoval Cabanas enjoys running, playing sand volleyball, salsa dancing, and playing with her dogs.
