Biography

Molin Shi, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in psycho-oncology, psychotherapy, and health psychology.

Dr. Shi earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Texas Tech University. She completed her internship in clinical psychology and a fellowship in integrated primary care psychology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She also holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Barry University and a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Rochester.

Licensed as a clinical psychologist by the state of Texas and Indiana, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

Dr. Shi is a member of the American Psychosocial Oncology Society, the American Psychological Association Division 38 Society for Health Psychology, the Association of Psychologists in Academic Health Centers, and the Asian American Psychological Association.

She has delivered many presentations, contributed to the book Wiley Encyclopedia of Health Psychology, and published numerous academic articles related to her areas of expertise. She serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for Journal of Clinical Psychology in Medical Settings and as a co-reviewer for Journal of Positive Psychology and Psycho-Oncology.
