Biography

Nancy George Philip, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in epilepsy and general child neurology.

Dr. Philip earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed a residency in pediatric neurology at UT Southwestern. She gained advanced training through a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York.

Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in child neurology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

Dr. Philip is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society. She has delivered several presentations related to her areas of expertise.

Personal Note

Regarding life outside of work, Dr. Philip says, “I am a wife and mother to two young sons who mean the world to me. I am a sincere Christian and seek to live my life according to such principles. I enjoy spending time with my family and am thankful to have my parents and siblings nearby and thankful for their love and support. I love being outside in cooler weather, exploring the parks and lakes of DFW. I also enjoy baking and cooking when I have the time.”
