Biography
Nhu Lan Phan, O.D., is a Faculty Associate in the Department of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in glasses and contact lens prescriptions, diabetic eye exams, glaucoma, and acute ocular concerns.
Dr. Phan earned her professional degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry. She received advanced training through externships at the Community Eye Clinic in Texas and Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.
A member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and the Tarrant County Optometric Society, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2026.
Personal Note
When she’s not at work, Dr. Phan enjoys spending time with her husband, watching TV shows and movies, doing jigsaw puzzles, going to concerts, and trying new breweries.
