Biography

Prasanna Khandavilli, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in preventive care, acute and chronic disease management, and obesity medicine.

Dr. Khandavilli earned her medical degree at Rangaraya Medical College in India. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in the Bronx, New York.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2015.

She is a member of the American College of Physicians and The Obesity Society, for which she serves on the Continuing Medical Education Oversight Committee.

When she’s not at work, Dr. Khandavilli enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.
