Biography

Rebecca Pedersen, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Pedersen earned her undergraduate degree in art history from Emory University in Atlanta. She went on to graduate from UT Southwestern Medical School and remained in Dallas for her obstetrics and gynecology residency training at UT Southwestern and Parkland Memorial Hospital. She joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

She provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, from well-woman exams to high-risk obstetrical care, plus minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and menopause care. She believes nutrition and movement are foundational to long-term health, and her commitment to overall wellness greatly informs her approach to patient care.

Dr. Pedersen is a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Dallas County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Pedersen enjoys weightlifting, rock climbing, and spending time with her husband and sweet dog, Sophie.
