Samantha Kroger, M.D.

Biography

Samantha Lopez Kroger, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Her practice includes general dermatology, complex medical dermatology, inpatient dermatology, and surgical dermatology for excisions of benign and malignant skin lesions. She has a special interest in seeing patients with granulomatous mastitis, a rare inflammatory condition of the breast.

Dr. Lopez Kroger earned her Bachelor of Science from Baylor University and her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as well as the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

She completed an internship in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center and a dermatology residency at UT Southwestern, where she served as Chief Resident at Parkland Memorial Hospital and the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center Dermatology Clinic. During her residency, she received the 2026 award for Star Clinician.

She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
