Biography

Shelly Heidelbaugh, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in outpatient primary care for adults.

Dr. Heidelbaugh earned her medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2018. Previously, she practiced primary care medicine for 20 years in California and North Texas.

She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Texas Medical Association.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Heidelbaugh enjoys spending time with her family, backpacking, and gardening.
