Biography

Stephanie Brinker, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of its Division of General Internal Medicine. She specializes in hypertension.

Dr. Brinker holds a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Trinity University in San Antonio. She received her medical degree from the UT Health Science Center McGovern Medical School in Houston, and completed her internal medicine residency training at UT Southwestern, where she also received advanced training through a fellowship program in hypertension.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2013.

Dr. Brinker serves as the Co-Director of the Internal Medicine Clerkship, a role that has enabled her to introduce several innovations, including standardizing grading and improving the quality of evaluation. She also serves as Co-Chair of the Residency Advising Committee and is a Colleges Mentor.

During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
