Biography

Teresa Griffin, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC, FNP-C, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Department of Internal Medicine - Cardiology Division at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Griffin completed her undergraduate Bachelor (1997) and Master of Science in Nursing (2006) degrees from the University of Texas in Tyler and earned her Family Nurse Practitioner (2006) and Adult Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (2014) certifications from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock. She completed her Doctor in Nursing Practice at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2022. She has worked in cardiovascular medicine since 2006 with experience in clinical and inpatient interventional cardiology, heart failure, electrophysiology, and vascular surgery. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American College of Cardiology. She was awarded Maverick Advantage Distinction in leadership during her doctoral studies at UT Arlington.
