Biography
Whitney Salinas, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in the treatment of general adult allergies, including hives, allergic rhinitis, food allergies, and asthma.
Dr. Salinas earned her medical degree at the Texas A&M College of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and gained advanced training through an allergy and immunology fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, Dr. Salinas joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.
Dr. Salinas is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology; the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology; and the Texas Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Society.
She has delivered presentations, contributed to the book Clinical Immunology: Principles and Practice, and published peer-reviewed academic articles related to her areas of expertise.

When she’s not at work, Dr. Salinas enjoys traveling and long-distance running.
