Biography

Much of my clinical work is with general psychiatric inpatients, including persons with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression and dementia. My outpatient work focuses primarily on persons with mood disorders. I also work with patients in psychoanalytically based psychotherapy. My research interest is in neuro-stimluation. I am especially interested in the ways in which psychoanalysis, philosophy, history, and literature may inform one another.

In 2018, he was named a Super Doctor by Texas Monthly.
