Biography
Yunus Emre Tarhan, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in hospital medicine.
Dr. Tarhan earned his medical degree at Istanbul University. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Mass General Brigham Salem Hospital and a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Chicago. He also completed Leadership Academy training with the Society of Hospital Medicine.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.
Dr. Tarhan’s clinical interests include acute care delivery in hospital medicine, hospital-based cancer care, patient education and teaching, and health care policy. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research, and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
He has delivered poster and oral presentations and has published academic articles related to his areas of expertise.
