University Hospital Outpatient Laboratory Services at the Medical Center at Richardson/Plano provides a quick and convenient way for patients to have lab work completed right after their clinical appointments. Our phlebotomists are available to draw blood and collect urine.
What to Expect
Your physician may order a lab test as part of your diagnosis or treatment. In the days leading up to your test, you may be required to follow specific instructions, such as fasting or avoiding medications. Please talk to your physician or nurse to find out how to prepare for your test.
We will send all lab results to your physician, who will follow up with you with next steps.
Preparing for Your Visit
On the day of your appointment, please allow time for registration.
Please bring your current insurance card, a method of payment (we accept checks or debit/credit cards only), and a complete list of your current medications and dosages (including over-the-counter medications, herbs, and vitamins).
Canceling an Appointment
If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify the clinic at least 24 hours in advance so that we can accommodate other patients waiting to schedule an appointment.
