Biography
Anne Donnelly, M.D., is a Clinical Professor and the Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in women’s health, gynecological procedures, and comprehensive family care.
Dr. Donnelly earned her medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in family medicine at EVMS Portsmouth Family Medicine in Portsmouth, Virginia, and received advanced training through an academic medicine fellowship at VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University) Health.
Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2026.
Dr. Donnelly previously served at Crozer Health in Springfield, Pennsylvania, as Chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine and Medical Director of the Center for Family Health. She also served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine at Temple University, a Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at Drexel University, and the Clinical Lead of Penn Family Medicine Woodland Ave, also in Springfield.
She is a Fellow of both the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology and the American Academy of Family Physicians, and is a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.
Dr. Donnelly has delivered presentations across the United States, contributed to the book Essentials of Family Medicine, and published peer-reviewed academic articles related to her areas of expertise.
In 2025, she earned the National Board of Medical Examiners Edithe J. Levit Distinguished Service Award.
Personal Note
When she’s not at work, Dr. Donnelly enjoys gardening, crafting, reading, watching theater performances, exploring nearby communities, and traveling.
