Biography

Avery (Alex) Green, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Originally from Conway, Arkansas, Dr. Green earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he refined his skills in managing complex inpatient cases and leading multidisciplinary care teams.

His professional interests include the management of acutely ill patients, medical education, and mentorship of trainees. He is deeply committed to continuing to develop as a clinician and educator dedicated to compassionate, evidence-based inpatient care.

Personal Note

Outside of medicine, Dr. Green enjoys reading about U.S. history, watching movies, playing sports, watching his Dallas Mavericks, and spending time with family and friends.
