Biography

Candace Mullens, M.S.P.A.S., PA-C, is a certified physician assistant in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. A Texas native, Mrs. Mullens graduated cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science degree. She worked as an EMT before attending PA school to advance her patient care skills. Mrs. Mullens earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies with distinction from Western University of Health Sciences and completed an orthopedic residency for physician assistants in the DFW area to further her training.

She has spent most of her medical career in orthopedics, with experience as a surgical first assist in total joint and sports medicine cases. Her clinical expertise includes joint injections, fracture and dislocation reductions, splinting and casting, musculoskeletal ultrasound, PRP injections, and pre- and post-operative patient care. In her spare time, Mrs. Mullens enjoys spending time with her spouse, young son, cat, and dog. Her family enjoys game nights and time with relatives and friends.
