Biography

Elaine Duryea, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and the Medical Director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic at Parkland Health and Hospital System.

Dr. Duryea earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UT Southwestern and Parkland and then received advanced training in maternal-fetal medicine through a fellowship at UT Southwestern.

Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2016.

Dr. Duryea is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the Texas Medical Association, and the American Medical Association. She serves on several committees at UT Southwestern and is Chair of the Parkland Hospital Stillbirth Committee.

She has delivered scores of presentations, contributed to the landmark textbook Williams Obstetrics, and published numerous academic articles.

In 2017, she earned the Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award for resident education.
