Biography

Jonathan Mosley, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. A clinically trained physician scientist, he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of resistant hypertension.

Dr. Mosley earned his medical degree and a doctoral degree in clinical pharmacology at Case Western Reserve University. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he also gained advanced training through an internal medicine fellowship. He also holds a master’s degree in epidemiology from Johns Hopkins University.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025.

Dr. Mosley is a Fellow of the American Heart Association and serves on its Data Science and Precision Medicine Committee. He is also a member of the American Society of Human Genetics. He is an Associate Editor of Circulation and serves on the editorial board of Hypertension.

Dr. Mosley has delivered national and international presentations, contributed to the book Hypertension Secrets, and published more than 115 academic articles related to his areas of expertise.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Mosley enjoys playing jazz guitar and hiking.
