Biography

Judah Gruen, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in primary care medicine.

Dr. Gruen earned his medical degree at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where he was part of the Washington University Teaching Physician Pathway for clinician educators.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022. He previously served at Grady Health System in Atlanta, Georgia, as the Associate Medical Director of the Grady PrEP Program.

Dr. Gruen is passionate about primary care, medical education, and sexual health. He has delivered many presentations and published several academic articles. His academic work continues to be focused on sexual health and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for the prevention of HIV.

He is a member of the Society of General Internal Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in 2015.
