Katherine Hazen, M.D.

Biography

Katherine Hazen, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in endocrinology.

Dr. Hazen earned her medical degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where she also received advanced training through an endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism fellowship.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2026.

Dr. Hazen is a member of the Endocrine Society and The Obesity Society.

In 2023 and 2022, she earned the Kohn Teaching Fellow Award from the Department of Medicine at the University of Rochester.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Hazen enjoys knitting, cooking, skiing, and hiking.
