Biography

Magdalena Espinoza, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in general gastroenterology and hepatology. 

Dr. Espinoza earned her medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and then returned to Arizona for fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. 

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Espinoza joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019.

She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy 

Personal Note

Outside of medicine, Dr. Espinoza enjoys spending time with her family and pets, learning languages, and exploring the outdoors. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
