Biography
Mara Cunningham, D.O., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in preventive care, management of acute and chronic conditions, and enjoys building lasting relationships with the patients and families she cares for.
Dr. Cunningham earned her medical degree at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific at Western University of Health Sciences. She completed a residency in family medicine at UT Southwestern, where she served as Chief Resident.
Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.
Dr. Cunningham is the former Lead Physician and Regional Medical Director at Baylor Scott & White Health.
Her personal interests include traveling and taking in nature's beauty, volunteering with animal rescues, and creating memories with friends and family.
