Biography

Melissa Thiele, M.S.N., APRN, AGACNP-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She earned her undergraduate nursing degree from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University.

Ms. Thiele brings more than eight years of critical care nursing experience, along with clinical hours in thoracic surgery, trauma, and general surgery at various hospitals across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked in the Surgical Transplant ICU at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital. She is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care to thoracic surgery patients and is excited to contribute to the growth of this innovative team.
