Biography

Navid Sadeghi, M.D., M.S.P.H., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in the care of breast cancer, leukemia, and lymphoma patients.

Dr. Sadeghi earned his medical degree at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and received advanced training through a hematology-oncology fellowship at UT Southwestern.

In addition, he holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in hematology and medical oncology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2013.

Dr. Sadeghi serves as Chief of the Cancer Program for the Parkland Health & Hospital System and as Assistant Director of Clinical Investigation at Parkland for UTSW’s Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of several other professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Hematology. He also serves on numerous committees at UT Southwestern and Parkland.

Dr. Sadeghi’s research interests include cancer outcomes, care delivery, and health care disparities. He has published numerous academic articles on these and other topics.

In 2016, he received the Eugene P. Frenkel Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award from the UTSW Division of Hematology-Oncology.
