Pediatric Craniofacial Surgeon in Dallas, Texas

Craniofacial surgery is a complex field that tends to be most successful with multidisciplinary care, where you have craniofacial surgeons working with neurosurgeons, ENTs, orthodontists, ophthalmologists, speech and language pathologists, and specialized pediatricians – all focused on caring for children who have complex needs.

Working at a teaching hospital such as Children’s Medical Center allows Dr. Sanati-Mehrizy to see pediatric patients with craniofacial anomalies in Dallas and collaborate with other experts. The hospital also serves as a hub for referrals from across the DFW area and state of Texas for children requiring more intricate procedures and trauma care.

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Sanati-Mehrizy focuses on complex conditions and procedures including cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, minimally invasive strip craniectomy, orthognathic (jaw) surgery, and vascular anomalies. He is dedicated to building solid relationships with his patients and their families.

"Taking care of children is what first drew me to plastic surgery. The care children are given early on dictates what road they end up on. It's essential that these patients receive excellent care from the start," Dr. Sanati-Mehrizy says. "I want to be a part of the difference we can make in their lives and strive to develop trust, partnership, and respect at the foundation."
