Biography

Ruth Harvey, D.O., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in family medicine and electronic health record systems.

Dr. Harvey earned her medical degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. She completed a residency in family medicine in the John Peter Smith Health Network. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

Dr. Harvey's personal interests include traveling and exploring new cultures, cooking, volunteering at her local homeless shelter, and spending time with family and friends.
