Biography

Riley (Sarah) Valliere, D.O., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in family medicine.

Dr. Valliere earned her medical degree at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. She completed a residency in family and community medicine at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago. She completed a fellowship in reproductive health at the Reproductive Health Access Project in New York City and concurrently completed a leadership and advocacy fellowship with Physicians for Reproductive Health’s Leadership Training Academy.

Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

Dr. Valliere’s clinical interests include reproductive health and contraception, preventive medicine, and non-obstetric women’s health.

She is a member of the American Medical Association, the Society of Family Planning, and the American Academy of Family Physicians, as well as its Reproductive Health Interest Group. She is also active in various advocacy and nonprofit networks.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Valliere enjoys spending time with and walking her pups, Portabella (“Porta”) and Arugula (“Rugi”); traveling; trying new restaurants and new recipes with her husband, Nikesh; attending music concerts; learning the ukulele; and gardening and being outdoors.
