Biography

Dr. Rao is originally from Austin, Texas and received her medical degree at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine. She did her internal medicine residency at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She joined a private practice internal medicine group for 4 years before moving to Dallas, Texas. During her training, Dr. Rao realized she truly enjoys the long term relationships that primary care cultivates between physician and patients. She is dedicated to helping patients lead and develop a healthy lifestyle. Her clinical practice emphasizes preventative care and management of chronic medical problems. Dr. Rao’s interests outside of medicine include her family, cooking, running and traveling.
