Biography

Tyler Evans, D.O., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in family medicine, complementary and alternative health, lifestyle and preventive medicine, and women's health.

Dr. Evans earned her doctorate of osteopathy at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. She completed a residency in family and community medicine at UT Southwestern, where she served as Chief Resident.

Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Evans joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

She is a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Osteopathy.

Dr. Evans has delivered numerous presentations on her areas of interest and expertise. She contributed chapters on alcohol withdrawal disorder and diabetic ketoacidosis treatment to the book The 5-Minute Clinical Consult.
