Biography

Yusra Aziz, M.S., CGC, is a genetic counselor who joined UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Cancer Genetic Program in 2023 after receiving her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from The University of Texas MD Anderson Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She sees patients at risk for hereditary cancer syndromes at multiple clinics in Dallas/Fort Worth.

In addition to her clinical roles, her interests include health disparities in genetics and genetic counseling, legal, ethical, and social issues surrounding genetic counseling, and psychosocial outcomes of genetic testing in pediatric oncology patients and their families. She also has a passion for education and community engagement.
