Biography

Ghassan Elkadi, M.D., RPVI, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in vascular medicine, especially arterial diseases and disorders, lymphedema, lipedema, venous diseases, and environmental vascular diseases.

Dr. Elkadi earned his medical degree at Cairo University in Egypt. He completed a residency in cardiology at the National Heart Institute in Cairo, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island. He gained advanced training through a vascular medicine fellowship at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Vascular Medicine, Dr. Elkadi joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the Society for Vascular Medicine.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Elkadi enjoys biking, car racing, and world music.
