Grace Getchell, M.S.

Biography

Grace Getchell, M.S., CGC, is a board-certified genetic counselor at the UT Southwestern Cancer Genetics Program. She specializes in genetic counseling for patients who are at risk for hereditary cancer syndromes and sees patients in multiple clinics around the Dallas metroplex.

Ms. Getchell received her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from Sarah Lawrence College in New York. Prior to joining UT Southwestern in 2023, she worked at the University of California San Francisco Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program.

Her interests include expanding access of genetic counseling to underserved communities, psychosocial outcomes of genetic testing, and mentorship within the greater genetic counseling field.
