Biography

James Roberts, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in inflammatory arthritis, skin manifestations of rheumatologic conditions, and lupus.

Dr. Roberts earned his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and gained advanced training through a rheumatology fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center, during which he served as Chief Fellow.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

Dr. Roberts is a Fellow of the Association of Women in Rheumatology and a member of the American College of Rheumatology.

He has delivered presentations and authored academic articles in his areas of expertise. He also contributed to the book Dermatology in Rural Settings: Organizational, Clinical, and Socioeconomic Perspectives.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Roberts enjoys traveling, cooking, and baking.
