Biography

Kelsey Moriarty, M.S., CGC, joined UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Cancer Genetics program in 2018. She meets with patients at multiple UT Southwestern clinics to discuss their chances for hereditary cancer syndromes.

She completed her Master of Science in molecular, cellular, developmental biology and genetics with an emphasis in genetic counseling at the University of Minnesota.

During her graduate education, she developed an interest in public health through her research on the public’s willingness to participate in precision medicine research. Additionally, she has an interest in informed consent during the genetic counseling process and the psychosocial impact of hereditary cancer syndromes on adolescents.
