New LASIK technology helps people see the world more clearly

Nhon Le, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in refractive and complex cataract surgery, anterior segment surgery, and cornea and external eye diseases.
Dr. Le earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at Baylor’s Cullen Eye Institute, where he was Chief Resident. He received advanced training through a fellowship specializing in cornea and external diseases, cataract surgery, and refractive surgery at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where he earned the Fellow of the Year Award.
Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.
Dr. Le’s interests include clinical and surgery education, mentorship, and research in surgical outcomes and infectious and inflammatory eye diseases. He has delivered presentations and published peer-reviewed academic articles related to his areas of expertise.
When he’s not at work, Dr. Le enjoys trying new restaurants, playing basketball and tennis, and lifting weights.
