Biography
Samantha Betterman, M.S., CGC, is a board-certified genetic counselor at UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Cancer Genetics Program. She specializes in genetic counseling for patients who are at risk for hereditary cancer syndromes and sees patients in multiple clinics across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Samantha received her Master of Science in genetic counseling at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She joined the Cancer Genetics Program in UT Southwestern’s Division of Hematology and Oncology in 2025.
In addition to her clinical roles, Samantha’s interests include genetic counseling education and research, expanding genetics services in underserved communities, and mentorship for prospective and current genetic counseling students.
